JInventory Documentation

This inventory component was designed to track inventory that is consigned to a customer or perhaps sold to a customer but on hand quantities are tracked at their location.  The inventory is set up with on hand quantities, reorder levels, and reorder quantities.  As parts are used the part number is entered and the quantity is entered.  On hand quantities are tracked real time.  This eliminates making the extra trip to the customer to determine shortages leaving only one trip to the customer to fill shortages.

From the back end, when you create orders, the on hand quantity is compared to the reorder level to determine if a replenishment order is needed.  The order records can be created by clicking the save button after reviewing parts on order and editing the quantities. The potential receipts can be displayed from the back end by clicking create receipts.  After editing the quantities, you can save to update the on hand quantities for orders received.

There are two demo sites. Front end is at Inventory Demo. The backend is at Admin Demo.  The user name is "demo" and the password is "inventory".

Now available! Bar code printing component integrated with Jinventory for printing labels using any page printer on standard 80 label pages. One click and you print initial inventory labels. After that you can print labels for orders or receipts easily and quickly.

In addition to selling custom programming we also make available low cost bar code scanners that are compatible with this system to help minimize the customer effort and your effort when  dealing with inventory. Also available are hand held data collection devices that read bar code labels and allow the entry of quantities for adjusting inventory. Please see our catalog for pricing and availablity.  To help choose the correct scanner, please review our scanner comparison sheet.
